This walk takes us to the purple haze of Mayfield Lavender – a huge, fragrant swathe of deep, indigo flowers, as well as golden wheat fields of Surrey and shaded woodland areas.

We cross idyllic Surrey countryside, crossing farms, fields of wheat and barley, through woodlands and past the towns of Banstead and Coulsdon.

We then arrive at the Lavender Farm where we spend an hour for lunch and visit the Lavender fields.

This is quite a sight, both in terms of sight and smell

Q. Will the lavender fields still be present / in bloom at this time

A. From The Lavender Fields' manager:

Hi
The first half of August we will probably harvest the Folgate at the front half of the farm but the back half of the farm will be looking great still until later in the month of August and we will harvest
that at the end of August or the beginning of September.

With best wishes,
