Walk through idyllic Chilterns

Stroll past the Prime Minister’s gardens at Chequers

Visit the Coombe Hill Monument & The Grangeland Nature Reserve

Pass the quaint villages of Dunsmore & Little Hampden

Starting at Princes Risborough station, this walk will take us over Whiteleaf Hill with its impressive chalk artwork.

Whiteleaf Hill is also known for the 100m high chalk hill figure:
The Whiteleaf Cross (on its northern slope) but is also home to other interesting archaeological features including a Neolithic barrow and WW1 practice trenches.

We then stroll past the Prime Minister’s garden at Chequers before we make a short climb up Coombe Hill where we’ll see the Coombe Hill monument erected in memory of soldiers that died during the second Boer war.

As we walk from Coombe Hill to the quaint village of Dunsmore.
We’ll then drop down into the village of Little Hampden & then to Princes Risborough

The hike involves several ups and downs and a good level of fitness is required
