As September is the peak of the Wine growing season, it's a good time to do this hike. Due to social distancing, the wine tour inside the winery no longer operates (for Protected content there are options to do wine tasting (outside) if you so wish, please see details at the bottom.


Walk through the UK's largest Vineyard

Pass one of England's most famous stately homes

Traverse a variety of picturesque woodlands

This is an amazing walk through Surrey countryside and vineyards.

The walk offers several fantastic viewpoints, and despite being relatively close to London, a deep rural tranquility. It will take you through a landscape of hidden valleys, woodlands, and gentle pastures and to the biggest British vineyard - Denbies Wine Estate, set in Protected content .

THE WALK (About 9 miles Protected content

TERRAIN: There will be several ups and downs and 1 steep (but short) incline

LUNCH: Bring a packed lunch and water

Hike route: Boxhill station to Polesden Lacey to Denbies Vineyard to Boxhill station

A good level of fitness is required for this hike
