HIGHLIGHTS

Traverse the enchanting Bourne Woods, the scene of films such as Gladiator, Harry Potter, Napoleon & Robin Hood

Walk past the spooky Mother Ludlam's cave

Visit England's first Cistercian Monastery - Waverley Abbey

Join us for a jaunt around Farnham's idyllic countryside encompassing a visit to the scene of some iconic films and one of Ridley Scott's favourite locations; an ancient Abbey and delightful surrey countryside.

Our hike will be a combination of woodland and countryside walking, combined with some pavement / tarmac paths

Depending on group size and time we can head off to Farnham Town centre for a pub after the hike

Distance: 15 km / 9 miles (Approx)

Ascent: Protected content (3 short but reasonably steep ascents)

Walk pace: Medium - Brisk

Terrain: Countryside paths, woodlands pavement / small stretches of road

Time: Allow about 4 1/2 hours. However this depends on lunch stop time, speed of group and how long we spend in Bourne Wood and Waverley Abbey grounds, but it'll be approx the above. So perhaps slightly longer / slightly shorter.
