PLEASE SIGN UP QUICKLY! – REGISTRATION HAS BEEN TEMPORILY RE-OPENED FOR INTERNATIONS MEMBERS!
Join Instructor Paul Brown to learn basic food safety tips, proper hygiene, and how to prevent bacteria and viruses from spreading. This is a 1 hour and 15-Minutes, Weekly Sessions on Thursdays.
This course is designed to teach basic food safety and hygiene tips for consumers. It will give instructions to those who are preparing and cooking food for themselves and their families. You will learn basic food safety tips, proper hygiene, and how to prevent bacteria and viruses from spreading in your kitchen. The safety lessons are especially important during this pandemic, explaining how to stop the spread of germs and viruses. The instructions are similar to ones taught in commercial food service establishments, but have been fashioned for personal consumers with their home kitchens in mind.
We will learn ways of proper hygiene, preparation, minimum internal cooking temperatures, cooling, thawing, and storage techniques, and why they are important to minimize safety hazards in the kitchen. We will be able to identify ways to reduce the risk of contamination while we are preparing, cooking and storing food.
