I had signed up in end May, and todate, I saw that there are still vacancies for Saturday 22 September Protected content , so am setting the headcount limit to 15 persons, including myself, cos I am not sure what is their limits.

I had wanted to visit the Black & White Houses in Singapore, but I do not have the contact to gain access to these houses. Just found out that Jane's Tour Group has the means to do so. Most of their Black and White Houses tour are organised on Weekdays but they have 1 organised on Saturday 22 September Protected content . They will contact those who had registered with them, 2 or 3 days before the tour to confirm the exact meeting place etc.

Join me if you are also interested in visiting 3 or 4 of these beautiful and iconic colonial Black & White Houses, set in green and tranquil oases, to learn about their history, architecture and role in Singapore's heritage too.

OPTIONAL > Depending on where the tour will end, we will go to the nearest hawker centre or coffeeshop for lunch together. (^_^)

The appeal of the black and white houses, originally built by the Public Words Department (PWD) of the British Administration for British expatriates, lasted no more than 25 years, peaking in Protected content just after World War I in line with the rising affluence in Singapore. It experienced a slight resurgence just before the World War II, mostly due to the need to accommodate the increase in military personnel in Singapore. About Protected content black-and-whites are found today in Singapore.
