How to choose the right doctor - advice from a doctor

MEET THE AUTHOR EVENT
The average American sees their doctor four times per year. Whether they are sick, or injured, or in need of a surgical procedure, how do people know they can trust the doctor to address all their needs in a skillful, and compassionate manner? The answer is, they don’t.
Patients are used to doing the minimum in vetting a healthcare provider- hoping that with a recommendation from someone else, or by conducting an internet search, or by leaving it entirely up to fate- they will come out alright.
New York Surgeon and Author Matthew Brackman, MD, FACS will discuss the current state of affairs of medicine in the United States, and why the lay public is challenged to make sound health care choices for themselves or their loved ones.
Dr. Brackman will use excerpts from his recently published book, The MD Score, to highlight our vexing dilemma as patients, and outline how we can flip the script.
This highly interactive discussion will give you the knowledge and power to make the right choices for your health care providers.
