Promoting respect in a diverse environment!

Respecting cultural diversity is when we appreciate, learn from differences and develop by building on similarities during the process of working together as a team from diverse backgrounds.

Each one of us was born into a different environment with a specific culture which is the foundation of our beliefs.
Culture provides the protocol and compass to navigate the social system.
The ability of a person to willingly learn and adapt to cultural rules promotes acceptance and inclusion with low risk of rejection in a new environment or society.
Breaking barriers and overcoming fears start with the understanding and appreciating that there are many cultures around the globe differing in the following:
1. Language /Respect
2. Mode of dressing and traditions/routines
3. Weather/ Time zones
4.Food

This is an interesting and interactive event, very useful guide and prerequisite for meaningful integration in the society.
Integration as much as anyone from a different background can indulge without loosing identity but be able to understand, appreciate the awareness of differences and similarities of our culture.
Respecting each other’s culture is absolutely a recipe for peace!
