On this occasion, Monia's Quartet will present Bakalawa, a proposal that shows the unfathomable richness of music without sticking to a certain category or specific style. Its name evokes the memory of a delicious Arabic sweet that is consumed in the eastern and Middle East Mediterranean area whose origin dates back many centuries. Bakalawa is a nod to the sweetness of desserts, to the international essences that are reflected in the way of treating the music, the vocal warmth of Monia and the subtlety of the arrangements.
Monia's Quartet shows in its interpretations a particular mix of rhythms that recreate the different Music of the World, without ties, without borders, recreating an authentic rainbow of rhythms and sounds
