Social Dance Evening
SOCIAL DANCE EVENINGS
A Social Dance Evening is designed so that you learn some dance steps AND meet new people. Part of the fun of dancing is figuring out how to dance not only the steps you are taught, but also how to dance them correctly with a partner.
You do not need to bring a partner, but if you are attending with a partner you are welcome to dance together all night if you wish.
The evening consists of teaching classes, progressive dances and general dancing. There are lessons for beginners, intermediate and experienced dancers so you can progress at your own rate. In each class you will be taught the basic steps of a particular dance. After each class there will be time to practice the steps that you have been taught with staff members and other attendees.
The dress code is smart casual so wear something comfortable that u can move in and a pair of comfortable shoes.
For ladies, a comfortable pair of dress shoes with a low heel is a good place to start. A dress, skirt or trousers that you can easily move in is suggested. No tight skirts for the Waltz.
For guys, long trousers and a shirt/T-shirt with sleeves. Dress shoes with a leather sole at the front are good.
Please don't wear shoes that may leave marks on the wooden floor.
The organisers, teachers and assistants take no responsibility/liability for any damages, direct or indirect, that may occur as a result of attending the event. You dance and socialise on your own ris
