Guided Tour: From a Military Fort to City of Knowledge
If you're interest in the Panama Canal Zone history, architecture and the environment of the site come to this tour.
Until Protected content , the ensemble of open spaces of the Protected content were part of Fort Clayton, a U.S. military base created in Protected content protect the Panama Canal locks at Miraflores.
Learn from Colonel Clayton, the history of the base that used to have his name and how it was transformed into the City of Knowledge.
The Interpretation Center is a house was designed by Samuel Hitt, the same architect who finished the Canal’s Administration Building in Balboa and who was in charge of the project for Gorgas Hospital in Ancon.
We're planning to visit the Interpretation Center and a tour for the campus.
