Opera Followed by a Nightcap at One of Germany’s Top Bars

The Munich Staatsoper is one of the world's famed opera houses, and a landmark everyone should take the opportunity to visit while living in Munich. Let's visit together while enjoying one of the most hauntingly beautiful operas ever composed – Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti.

A tragic love story in the spirit of Romeo and Juliet, Gaetano Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor is the most famous bel canto opera ever composed. It combines soaring vocals, a ravishing score and the intense romance of two star-crossed lovers. This beautiful period production tells the heartbreaking tale of a love too beautiful to exist in this world, the manipulation and victimization of the heroine, Lucia and her subsequent descent into vengeance-fueled madness.

Afterwards we will head to Protected content , located only two minutes walk from the Staatsoper. It is known for its extravagant cocktails – particularly rum concoctions; its Caribbean origins; and its live piano music. It has been consistently rated one of the top three bars in Germany.
