Duruflé: Requiem - Concert de la Francophonie 2023

The French Institute in Finland and the Helsinki Chamber Orchestra in collaboration with Romania, Belgian, Sveist, and Canada's Embassy invite you to the Francophone Festival!
The concert's special guest is Romania, which celebrates this year's 30th-anniversary celebration of the French-speaking cooperation organization.
The Frankophonia Concert is an annual event that has always been held since the founding of the Helsinki Chamber Orchestra. It is part of the "month of francophone", which is an important event for French-speaking countries around the world. The Helsinki Chamber Orchestra then organizes a concert with the Finnish Institute of France and the French Embassy in cooperation with a concert that focuses on French and/or Finnish music and that year on the country selected. The concert will honor Romania this year by presenting Béla Bartók's Romanian folk dances. The event culminated with Duruflén Requiem's performance with the Viva Vox choir. A free concert will be held at Protected content on March 30, Protected content , and James Kahane is the orchestra director.
