Modderfontein Nature Reserve
This tranquil Protected content nature reserve is crisscrossed by relatively flat hiking trails that are very well-maintained and signposted. It is the second-largest private park in Gauteng and includes beautyful portions of the Modderfontein Spruit, a number of dams, grassland and hills. There are six walking trails, which link into one-another allowing us to choose how far we will walk.
DISTANCE AND DIFFICULTY
The main eight km hiking trail is easy and complemented by shorter walks that skirt around the reserve’s wetland areas.
CHILDREN AND DOGS
The venue is unresponsive, so it has not been possible to inquire about dogs. Best not bring any. Children are welcome.
Be or bring a passenger by posting a message below. Remember to indicate whether or not you intend to stay for lunch.
