Ready to Join?

This is the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs after the lockdown (post phase three whenever that is).

The stunning Krokodilberg route includes a suspension bridge, an old mine, caves, rocky climbs, ruins and even a cable-way to cross the river. A variety of game and bird life can be spotted. For those who wish to chill after the hike, the venue has braaing facilities and a swimming pool.

ROUTES & DISTANCES
Please check the map under photos. Possible distances are 5 km (Dassie), 7.5 km (Zebra) and 15–17 km (Krokodilberg). The main group will do a shortcut version of Krokodilberg totaling 12 km.

DIFFICULTY
Between moderate and difficult. It’s ESSENTIAL to bring at least two litres of water, a strong pair of walking shoes or hiking books, a hat, light clothes to avoid overheating, sunblock, an energizing snack, and an emergency plastic poncho and a swim suit if you’d like to use the pool. You could also bring food for the braai facilities.

CHILDREN AND DOGS
Please note that the Krokodilberg Route is not recommended for children under 12. Bring a lead for quadrupeds.
