Swing Dancing Open House - Free Dance Lessons
Free swing dancing classes on the hour from 11 AM through 6 PM. Each hour has a different type of swing dance. The Lindy Hop class is repeated 3 times spread out throughout the day which is an 8 count swing pattern. Charleston is danced to faster music and has a lot of kicks and big arm movements. Balboa is mostly danced to faster music and has slightly smaller steps. I haven’t tried Blues or Solo Jazz and will be trying these classes.
They are on the 2nd floor of their building. There is gym on the first floor

The location is a few minutes walk west of the Dupont TTC Station. They have very limited parking in their lot, but there are some neighborhoods nearby that may have street parking. I believe there may be some Green P street parking on Dupont.
Most of the classes start with a quick warm up with some dance movements individually and then into how to do the movements and dance it with a partner.
They have large dance floor and a second smaller room. They have a different group running some free martial arts classes.
Depending on who show interest, I can come earlier, but with the format, you don’t need a partner as they rotate partners during the lesson.
