Get your groove on and let's celebrate Malaysia Day with Keretapi Sarong, the annual cultural flashmob that turns public transport into a moving festival!

Just dress up in vibrant sarongs or your favourite traditional Malaysian outfit, and join us on 𝟏𝟑𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 at selected train stations (locations to be advised) across Klang Valley for a train ride you'll never forget as we head towards a "secret location", where we will all gather with other participants for a lively showcase of Malaysia's heritage — from traditional performances and workshops to local food, games, music, dance, laughter & community fun!

Keretapi Sarong is more than an event — it’s a symbol of unity in diversity, proudly celebrating what it means to be Malaysian. ❤️💙🤍💛

Don't know where to get your sarongs from? Get one from Central Market or Jalan TAR, or night markets, department stores or batik boutiques. Or borrow from a friend (and get them to come along too).

No sarongs - that's fine! Baju kebaya, cheongsam, saree, batik shirt, baju kurung, baju melayu, pareos, kaftans, kurta, Punjabi suits, iban textiles, etc. - take your pick. As long as you bring something cultural, colorful, and Malaysian-inspired, you’ll fit right in. The event is about unity and fun, not strict dress codes — you’ll see people in full traditional wear, some in casual batik t-shirts, and others mixing sarongs with sneakers.
