📣 Join the renowned pianist and conductor Sir András Schiff for an extraordinary evening of classical music, showcasing his mastery both at the piano and on the podium. The concert will feature three timeless works from the Baroque and Classical eras. 📣
The program opens with:
🎶 Johann Sebastian Bach’s Concerto for Keyboard and Orchestra No. 5 in F minor, BWV Protected content , a work rich with Baroque elegance and Bach’s trademark counterpoint. Schiff’s interpretation is sure to bring out the clarity and grace of this masterpiece.
The journey continues with:
🎶 Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 4 in C minor, D. 417, "Tragic", a bold and emotional symphony. Despite its nickname, "Tragic," this symphony is filled with moments of intense drama and lyrical beauty, showcasing Schubert's early mastery of symphonic form.
Closing the evening is:
🎶 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat major, KV 595, a work that reflects the composer's mature style with its graceful melodies, elegant orchestration, and delicate interplay between soloist and orchestra.
