There are only 2 places left!

Let’s visit the greatest tourist attraction near Wroclaw, the sacred Sleza Mountain! It is very close to Wroclaw, only 35km, and yet some of you never had the opportunity to visit! I live nearby and know this mountain and the region inside out so be sure to see the best of it! The weather forecast for Saturday is very good so we are going to have a great day out enjoying the autumn colours and smells of the forest. Perhaps the last chance to experience the famous “golden polish autumn”!? The mountain and its surrounding region form the protected area called Ślęża Landscape Park. It has very touristy and mountainous feel to it so for that one day you will definitely feel as if you were somewhere far away in high mountains on holiday! Trust my word! Naturally, we will be walking uphill but the hike/walk is not very difficult or extremely demanding so do not worry about your heart rate. We will be taking stops so you are going to be just fine! 😊 Trekking shoes would be best but do not worry if you do not have them, normal comfortable shoes like trainers will do the job. Once on top we will take our time to rest, have lunch, see the historic church with a glass floor and a viewing tower, a mountain hut where food and drink can be purchased, we will climb another observation tower and of course take some photos of the famous Ancient (probably Celtic) cult sculpture of a bear! The views from the mountain are fantastic and you will be able to see Wroclaw one direction, the big chain of mountains the other, the beautiful surrounding plains and the Mietkow lake. We will set off from the Tapadla Pass as the most popular starting point where there is a coffee shop with nice cakes and some other seasonal shops with souvenirs. I planned 3 hours for going up but it should not take more than 2. We will take a different route down which should not take more than 1.5hrs. When back at the starting point I suggest we have a bonfire with sausages on a stick, beer, etc. IT IS GOING TO BE GREAT!!! In addition, you will be able to buy some local produce, wild mushrooms, honey and veg (if you want!)

ITINERARY:
9 am – 10 am – Travel from Wroclaw to Ślęża Mountain
10.30am – 1.30pm – hiking up
1.30pm – 3 pm – leisure time/lunch break on top of the mountain
3 pm – 4.30pm – walking back
4.30 – 6 pm – bonfire, drinks and leisure time (shopping for local produce etc)
6 pm – 7 pm – going back to Wroclaw

If we are disciplined and land up having some spare time, I will also show you other points of interest.

MEETING POINT - Lidl car park, Powstańców Śląskich 211A, Protected content . Lidl car park is by Powstansow Slaskich and Krzycka streets. This is opposite a park called “Park Poludniowy”. Lidl shop is on the right-hand side when going from the centre of Wroclaw down south towards Krzyki. The Tram stop called "Krzyki" is just after Lidl. Trams no 2,6,7,17,33 go there....and some busses too!

PLACES AVAILABLE AND TRANSPORT – If there is a larger amount of people interested I can hire a minivan(s) with a driver and a cost to share would be approximately 20 or 25PLN (this is for a 9 seater minivan but smaller 7 seater vans can be hired too). However, if you have a car and would not mind taking some passengers with you that would be great. I suggest that 10PLN per person is fair as a cost of travel which would then be split between the drivers. So, a number of places available are 4 as this is how many passengers I can fit into my car, and then it depends on a number of people with cars. Hope this makes sense. But, just sign up and I will work it out.
