Lee Jones Quintet and Libby Myers
Lee Jones is a British jazz guitarist and composer, combining influences from modern jazz, fusion, blues, avant-garde and rock styles. Lee has regularly performed throughout the UK scene and recorded/performed/studied alongside Larry Coryell, Martin Taylor and Mike Stern. Lee is currently touring Australia and also active within music education/research. Lee has a second eBook and new solo album, A World Away, scheduled for release in late Protected content .
For this performance, Lee will be bringing together a very special quintet: Lee Jones, guitar; Dave Cox, saxophone; Lochlan Feng, piano/keyboards; Blake Lonie, bass and Sam Castan, drums.
Lee will be supported by local guitar talent Libby Myers, whose intimate, heartfelt performances aim to tell unique stories through music, with repertoire ranging from reinterpretations of Baroque works to contemporary music incorporating multi-media and free improvisation.
