The Shadow of Flagey
Dear Brussels lovers,
I hope that all of you had nice summer holidays!
Flagey is definitely one of the largest places in movement that you can find in the Belgian capital.
Together with Grand-Place and Place De Brouckère, it really represents the city that never sleeps.
Today, it has become one of the most important junctions of Brussels and the commune of Ixelles has left so many historical witnesses on your way.
It is also impossible to miss the famous Art Deco House of the Radio (Maison de la Radio/Flageygebouw) which completely dominates the area with its picturesque old yellow skin.
The Protected content will also surprise you with a very unusual artistic atmosphere and a large choice of Belgian beers.
Then you can just cross the place to get some fries at Frit Flagey.
Surprisingly during the middle of the 20th century, the place has also been used for the launching of balloons.
The surroundings of Flagey are simply elegant, with a green large park where you can finally find the so popular "Etangs d'Ixelles". There you can quietly lie down on the grass during summer.
Flagey can be a true nightmare for the car drivers but a real paradise for pedestrians.
Let's discover it together on this Sunday 3 September!
