The splendors of Uccle and Ixelles
Dear Brussels lovers,
On this Sunday, I would love to introduce you Uccle and Ixelles, one of the most popular areas to live in the city of Brussels!
Uccle and Ixelles are not only residential places. It is still full of history and already since Middle Ages.
Uccle wears many names of our World War II heroes and many artists were born in Ixelles like the famous international actress Audrey Hepburn.
Brussels is really far to be limited to Grand-Place and the Cinquantenaire.
Today, it counts 19 communes and the city that started as a small village is still spreading over like a beautiful rose in spring.
It would be my pleasure to talk you about the Cambre forest, Winston Churchill, Marie Depage and Edith Cavell.
We will also discover the prestigious Avenue Molière, a beautiful dark street full of trees but still shiny thanks to the beauty of its amazing residences.
Together, we will discover why this quarter of Bascule is called in this way and why Uccle and Ixelles are still attracting more and more people.
