About the Artist:

Bernard Garo is a Swiss visual artist born in Protected content . His artistic reflection is guided by an earthly, geographical concept. Garo’s work pays homage to painting as a component of our earth by including in his canvasses entirely natural materials that he finds on cliffs as well as in volcanic craters. He thus opens his painting onto a multifaceted contemporary perception that celebrates nature, mankind and our vulnerability, as well as life, technology and science.

Protected content

One family branch favoured landscape art works and graphics of 19th-20th Century Georgian artists, exemplified by Gudiashvili Lado, Zdanevitch Kirill, Gabashvili Gigo, and many others.

The other family branch inclined towards Russian world renowned artists such as Ivan Aivazovsky, Konstantin Makovsky, Stepan Kolesnikov, Boris Kustodiev, as well as their associates representing the Paris School, like Georges Artemoff , Georges A. de Pogédaïeff, Samuel Granovsky and many others.

This impressive art collection, constructed with profound interest and passion for “Art for Art” itself, laid the foundation for Protected content activities.
