*** Please sign in ONLY if you are interested in boat rowing. If you would like to visit the palace and the gardens, there will be OTHER events available on InterNations ***

We will meet at 10:30 at the exit of the train station "Versailles Rive DROITE". Please don't mix it up with a totally different station which is called "Versailles Rive Gauche" (exit "Impasse de Clagny"). Please plan your trip carefully: there are not a lot of trains on Sundays in this direction.

Afterwards, we will walk towards the Grand Canal in the Versailles Parc. There, we will rent boats for 1 hour (price: 18€, not per person, but per boat).

Some information directly on their website (you cannot book a boat in advance though):

A boat takes maximum 4 people, but I'd rather advise you being not more than 3 people in one boat, otherwise the boat gets too heavy and rowing is a nightmare 😄. You have to bring a valid ID as a warranty deposit (in case you wanna steal the boat and row it all the way down to Australia 😜).

It seems that rowing a boat on the Grand Canal is the best way to have an amazing view on the Versailles Palace!

Afterwards, we will have a picnic in the Parc. Please, bring some water, a snack to share and a cloth to sit on. Then, we can visit Le Petit Trianon and Le Grand Trianon and even walk all the way up to the Queen's Farm if you feel like it.
