It will be a leisurely but steady pace walk Protected content from Gaillon Aubevoye train station to Gaillard Castle picturesque ruin (it belonged to Richard the Lionheart...) and back (no public transport in between, so no possibility of a shortcut).

Please wear good walking shoes and bring a lot of drinking water and your picnic with you. There will be no shops or cafés on our way.

We don't visit the Gaillard Castle inside because it's a ruin, but it's a good spot to have a picnic as we will be able to admire the Seine River from the castle hill.

Meeting point: at 10:12 am, INSIDE the train leaving Saint Lazare station, 1st carriage (the FARTHEST one from the station).

Please buy your ticket to Gaillon Aubevoye in advance. You can do it online, on the SNCF Connect site.

I don't know at what time we will take our train back because I cannot predict our speed.

Roughly, there is a train back to Paris every hour.

You CANNOT use your Navigo Pass on this train because it's a Normandy train.
