On the border between Valbonnais and Beaumont, this Col de Parquetout is a gateway to the flower-filled alpine pastures of Beaumont and Salette, home to many families of marmots. This hike takes in the mountain pastures around the Vallon d'Aiguebelle and the Alpe, taking in the various grassy knolls in the area.

Access BY CAR
Start at the Col de Parquetout, in the commune of Saint-Michel-en-Beaumont. At La Mure, head towards Gap and Corps on the N85. Shortly after passing Les Egats, turn left onto the D212, which runs along the Canal de Beaumont towards Saint-Michel-en-Beaumont, which you will cross. Cross Villelonge in turn, and turn left onto the D.212f towards the Col de Parquetout les Angelas.

Disclaimer: you need to have proper hiking shoes ( tennis won't do!), dress with layers for all weather including rain. Bring a picnic ( enough to eat for the day) and water. You will be better off with sticks!!!
