Sketchscape to the Country

We will escape to the country for our next sketchwalk: the Dilburnu (Cape Tongue) nature park in Büyükada.
This haven, hidden from the crowds that flock to the Princes Islands each weekend, has amazing sea and island views, towering pine trees, fun objects like British telephone boxes and giant metal sunflowers and even grazing sheep occasionally. It’s a great location for drawing inspiration and therapy from nature, with lots of benches and even a few swing chairs to sketch from.
We will start the day with a few warm-up sketches. Then we will roam the paths of the park, engaging with the beautiful surroundings through our sketchbooks. Later, we will get together at the Dilburnu café for a well-earned rest, where, if you wish, you can show and talk about your drawings.
As always, you are particularly welcome if you are a beginner or have had a break from drawing. Bring a cheap and cheerful sketchbook and some soft pencils to discover your passion for drawing again!
We will meet in front of the Şehir Hatları ferry station in Büyükada, opposite the Mado café. From there, it is a short walk to the bus station, where we will take the BA2 bus, which accepts the Istanbulkart.
Entry to the Dilburnu nature park is 60TL.
