The bluefin tuna is the “giant” of the tuna. It weighs up to Protected content and has the largest body size, but it is rare and only accounting for less than 1% of the tuna market. Being scarce and with a rich nutritional value, it is naturally the most expensive. The record high price this year for a single Bluefin tuna costs over 3 million USD in Japan.
