So the world gets to know Richard Jewell (Paul Walter Hauser), a security guard who reports that he found the device of the bomb attack at the Protected content Olympics. His timely intervention saves many lives, making him a hero. But in a few days, the aspirant to the police becomes the number one suspect of the FBI, defamed by both the press and the population, witnessing the collapse of his life. Addressing the independent attorney and against the Watson Bryant (Sam Rockwell) system, Jewell firmly professes his innocence. But Bryant discovers that he has to clash with the combined powers of the FBI, GBI and APD to exonerate his client, and tries to prevent Richard from trusting the same people who try to destroy him.
Based on real events, Richard Jewell is the story of what can happen when what is reported obscures the truth.
