The Importance of Being Earnest (2018)
In Protected content England, two young gentlemen, hoping to bring some life to a dreary life, decided to "do something new". John Worthing pretends that he has a brother named "Serious", so he leaves the dreary city to venture out and meet Gwendolyn, a lady of high society. Algernon used this pseudonym to visit the English manor beauty Cecily. Later two "serious" encounters, almost killed the wonderful love......
Wilde described the Importance of Being Earnest as a "slapstick" comedy. The two young men were honest and debonair, but they lived a double life. The two girls, one approachable, the other proud and cold, had an unusual desire for the name "earnest." Wilde always broke the drama tradition that "tragedy seriously describes noble characters, while comedy easily reflects common people", aiming comedy objects at the upper class, artistic reality appears on the paper, and the praise or criticism of characters is judged by the audience.
