InterNations' 10th birthday Picnic !
In September InterNations turns 10 so it would be great to meet all together and celebrate! I decided to organize event in the park since than we won't have any limitations due to the number of attendees (and it is still outdoors!)
Gravelly Point Park is said to be one of the most recommended places to relax, do picnic and play games like volleyball or frees bee.
Cool thing about Gravelly Point, which actually gathers the most visitors, is that you are able to see landing and taking off planes from Ronald Reagan airport right above your head. It's opportunity for great pictures ! :) We can expect some noises also, but it isn't really bothering.
Unfortunately, there are only a few spots with avaliable tables so the most possibly we will be sitting on the blankets.
I'm going to prepare the list with things and products that we could need (like picnic table, blankets, plastic utensils and so on...) Than you will be asked for choosing what you would like to bring and share by writing your name.
I would love to make it as our little Cultural Exchange and encourage to prepare some traditional food from your country! I'm gonna make some Polish chicken:)
For now forecast says that weather should be nice. If rain is expected we will have to reschedule this event.
There are bathrooms but please take hand sanitizer since I read they lack of soap.
Free parking is avaliable. Even though, parking is big I can't predict how many other people will decide to spend Sunday there. If it's possible let's try to do local carpooling or use bikes.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please share them in the comments or send me a private message.
Hope to see you soon!
Have a great weekend,
