Hilma by Klint - Tyra Kleen - Lucie Lagerbielke Exhibit
The artists all had an interest in spiritual seeking and it affected their lives as well as their artistic creation. Common to the three is that in addition to their painting, they were writing people who formulated thoughts and experiences in text. All three made life choices that were unusual for women at this time when they prioritized intellectual work and artwork over family and children. Despite their common starting points and interests, their artistry differs greatly, both in terms of expression and working method.
