Primitive Elements & Photo Book Presentation
With a selection of photos by Francesco Bosso, the exhibition offers a summary of the last 15 years of his photographic research, in areas of the world still untouched, like the Arctic, where water is a central element of the landscape.
Climate change has become a global emergency, with "phenomena of frequency and intensity never seen in human history, with disruption of ecosystems and the wealth of biodiversity sustaining our life" (source WWF).
"Primitive Elements" is a path between natural landscapes made of glaciers, cliffs, oceans, virgin islands, rainforests: portraits of an ideal land, an uncontaminated place now in the process of disappearance.
Landscape photographer trained at the American school of some assistants of Ansel Adams, one of the founders of this genre - Bosso shoots in black and white, using polarized filters and long exposure times, on large format film with optical bench and personally printing all the works in a dark room, on silver gelatin paper and with a subsequent selenium treatment.
After our visit, at Protected content we will have an aperitif at the "Sushi Park", while our friend Giuseppe Giannotti will present his new book "Life",180 photos taken in 29 countries from Protected content , from everyday life, depicting a wide variety of situations through a journalistic eye. Different topics, like everyday life, cities, nature, people, animals. In 2 words ‘street photography’. This book is a multi-ethnic and multicultural trip aimed at stimulating reflection.
