Lecture: Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, An Alternate View
As a result of our cooperation with the Rotary Club Valletta, we have got this invitation to an interesting and innovative lecture by Simon Abrahams.
Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: An Alternate View
"Let’s get started. How many of you have actually been to the Sistine chapel?.... That’s good. You’ll know how Michelangelo spent 5 years on the ceiling and then another 7 on the Last Judgment. In all he painted over Protected content on Protected content . metres so that allows me to explain each one in 3.4 seconds. No, don’t worry, I plan to do something simpler but bolder. I hope, this evening, to change your whole perspective on art and open up a world inside it that you probably never knew existed. You may have sensed there was something more to art but few ever see it and tonight you will be some of the first, at least in today’s world."
Simon Abrahams is a strategic arts consultant, creative producer and Australian cultural leader.
