This is a solidarity run to support people with special needs.
Runninghour is a national event that aims to use mainstream sports as a platform to promote integration and nurture an inclusive Singapore for the community with special needs.
It's the only race in Singapore where participants run alongside other visually, intellectually and physically-challenged runners.
We will have the option to experience how running is like for someone with a visual impairment. Each participant will receive a blindfold and tether band as part of your runner entitlements. While not compulsory, we encourage you to pair up and take turns running ‘blind’ while your partner guides you with the tether band. Swap along the route so both partners can have a try. If you are not comfortable to run ‘blind’ – it is fine, just enjoy the run!
This year also with option to run with ear plugs and also a sensory tunnel where you can experience how an autistic person sees the world.
