Fall Colors on Mount Sutton – Intermediate level Hike and Nature Photography
This is an Intermediate level hike
Hike is 6 to 8 km (round trip), with about 1:30 hour uphill (Departure altitude: Protected content , Arrival altitude: Protected content , walking at a steady pace, so total of 3 to 3.5 hours hike round trip.
REQUIRED: highly recommended good hiking boots (the trail is NOT smooth, quite rugged at times), bottle of water, cold lunch
Do not arrive with an empty stomach. We will eat lunch (bring your own) once we arrive at the top of the mountain.
At the top, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view. If weather is clear, we can even see Montréal!
We will have the opportunity to take picture of the beautiful nature.
We advise to bring a DSLR type camera, but you can also have fun with a compact camera or a decent smart phone.
Saturday, Sept. 30th
$6 access fee to the trails + car pooling if applicable (see below)
Please indicate if you have a car (and how many people you can take) and where you are located.
I will be in the area for the weekend, so I cannot bring people up here. If you need a ride, please ask the other guests.
Contribution: About 10$ to 15$ is suggested as contribution to drivers. Drivers can adjust depending on car they drive and type of gas it uses, as well as by the number of passengers in their car.
MAKE SURE TO:
1) Confirm with the driver your presence
2) Have his/her cell number in case something unexpected happens
Alternatively, you can take a bus from downtown Montréal to Sutton.
Limocar (about 22$ each way)
There are several buses per day. On leaves at 8 and gets at Sutton at 10:00 (double check the schedule as it might change)
If you take the bus, I will meet you at the Sutton bus station. Just let me know.
RSVP and be respectful of attendance intention. If you register but later realize you cannot attend, please unregister.
Weather forecast is highly unstable at the moment. So check your InterNations messages as the event will be rescheduled if weather is not favorable.
