The opening of Damageable Perfection, a special solo exhibition of intricate installation art by Protected content of the Year Euyoung Hong, examines the intersection of urban spaces and politics in modern society.
Euyoung Hong’s work explores the complex social relationships that emerge between urban spaces, objects, and politics.
Admission to the opening reception and talk by the artist on Friday, November 9 at 6:00 p.m. is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
Location: The Korean Cultural Center is located at Protected content Ave. NW Washington, DC Protected content . The Korean Embassy consists of three nearby buildings along Embassy Row; The Korean Cultural Center is located between the main building and the consulate office on Sheridan Circle.
Metro: The Korean Cultural Center is about a 15-minute walk from the Dupont Circle metro station, heading northwest on Massachusetts Ave. Metro bus lines N2, N3, N4, and N6 stop nearby at Embassy Row.
Parking: A few spaces may be available during the event in the lot adjacent to our building, but space is very limited. All parking is first-come-first-served and double parking is not permitted. The security gate will be lowered when parking is full. There is also some street parking in the local area. Early arrival is recommended.
