Join us for this lively monthly museum happy hour. This month's theme is All that Jazz. In the museum's own words--

Inspired by Frank Stewart’s music photographs, DC Jazz Festival takes over Phillips after 5 with jazz in the galleries by the Langston Hughes II Quartet, double bass master Herman Burney, and steel pan soloist Jeremy Caesar. Savor BBQ from Smoke Stack’s House of BBQ and island fare from Jerk@Nite while sipping rum punch. Cool off with ice cream and popsicles from Bread Furst Cafe. Sample hot sauces from DC-based Trini Pepper Sauce. Make a musical pendant and create artwork using sheet music paper.

The event begins at 5pm and you are welcome to arrive whenever you like. I will get there by 6:30 and will be either in the Music Room or on the patio from 6:30-7pm. I'll post what I'm wearing and where to find me once I arrive. I will not be checking my phone regularly after 6:30pm.

Tickets are $20 for non-members and must be purchased in advance - Protected content
Admission is free for members ($75 annually) and no advance registration is required.
