The Italian Jazz Job spielt beim Mister B's
Italian songs in a swinging spirit -
World-famous classics and hidden pearls of the Italian songtradition from "Azzuro" to "Senza Fine", accompanied by surprising arrangements by American jazz classics: the jazz is Italian with the quartet "The Italian Jazz Job". In the center: the singer Alice Viola, who has traveled from Rome, Madrid, Montreal, Toronto and New York, and washed with all the soul and jazz waters, and the guitarist Gabriele Giorgini, from Castelferetta in Central Italy. To this, from Munich, the "southernmost city of Italy": bassist Markus Angeli and drummer Michael Gottfried. All four of them combine a deep rootedness in jazz, freedom, the diversity of their grooves and shadings and, on the other hand, love for Italy, its songs, its charm and temperament. And so it was only a matter of time before you asked yourself: Why not Italian songs? Were the standards of the Great American Songbook also "only" popular hits of their time, which at some time the Jazzmusiker took possession. And so the mission was clear: to bring the beloved songs from the South to swinging and grooving. With lots of heart and soul, catchy, charming, light, with southern heat and American cool.
