Spectacular Scenery Hike & Seafood Lunch - Final Hike for Joseph
Back by popular demand -- this activity will fill up quickly. This is my favourite hike in HK.
This will be my final hike. I am returning home to Toronto in a few days.
Clearwater Bay, High Junk Peak Country Trail is a spectacular hike with Protected content of the oceanside, islands and trees. The hike is on a natural (not paved) path and you will have a lot of steps that you need to navigate. The hike is 7km in length and should take about 3 hours to complete. Anyone without proper shoes will be refused entry to this organised hike. Half of the hike is under the sun and half there is some protection from the shadow of the trees; sun protection and 2 liters of water are also strongly recommended.
This is NOT a beginner hike, degree of difficulty is medium because of the natural terrain, the altitude and the number of steps. The warm weather will make this is Medium-Hard hike.
We end our hike at Tin Hau Temple by the seaside. This temple is a tribute to the fishermen, seamen and anyone lost at sea. It is the largest and oldest of the Tin Hau Temples in HK. Then we proceed to a yummy seafood lunch in the charming and authentic fishing village, Po Toi O. where we can have seafood lunch. We will eat family style and share the bill evenly. Expect about $200/ per person (about half price of those seafood places in Sai Kung). Lunch is optional. We expect to finish our hike by 2pm and finish lunch by 3:30.
Sorry for the late post, had to make sure the potential typhoon won't affect us. The Typhoon, if it hits us will be on Sunday. We might get rain but we will proceed unless there is a downpour that makes the going slippery and dangerous.
In case of severe weather, we will cancel by 8am Saturday
Thank you very much
