Ready to Join?

Dear bush walkers,

Please read all the details of this walk before you sign in for this event!!

This is famous coastal track in Royal NP, that goes from Otford Lookout to Bundeena.

We will go through Wedding Cake rock formation, Eagle Rock, lots of beaches, Figure of 8 formation, tackle some steep climbs and descents on a few rough terrain tracks.

Please note that this walk is rated as grade 5 (Very steep and difficult, Many steps, Rough track, many obstacles, Experienced bushwalkers). It is Protected content long.
This is very demanding walk, it is one way and it does not go through suburbs. Therefore, please think twice if you can do it, before you sign up for this event. We will have to keep average/high pace to get to Bundeena before sun goes down. With some short breaks for snacks and lunch, of course.

Please wear enclosed sturdy walking shoes (preferably hiking boots), bring weather protection according to weather forecast, insect repellent, sun protection, hat, sun screen, plenty drinking water Protected content snacks and lunch.
(first aid, hiking poles, medication, camera)

Lunch will be at about half way or around noon.

There are several beaches along the walk, so take your swimmers with you, just in case :)

Please remember to subscribe only if you are sure you can attend. If something comes up and you are not able to join, please cancel your attendance 24 hours in advance!

Transport information:

I would highly recommend everyone to take a train to Otford Train Station. Note that this train goes every 2h, so if you miss the right one you can hardly get there on time. Otford Train Station and Otford Lookout are accessible by car, as well. However, I wouldn't recommend coming by car, as this walk is 30km one way and it ends on opposite end of the Royal NP, to the one we will start from.

How to get to Protected content

I expect everyone will come by train, so we will all arrive by the same train to Otford Train Station and start our walk from there 7:30.
