Sydney Rivers - Scenic Cycle
Join us for some scenic cycling along our favourite Sydney ride following Cook and Parramatta rivers! We will be following cycle paths (shared with pedestrians) away from traffic and very few quiet streets to take in views of beautiful Cooks River, Olympic Park and the Parramatta River foreshore.
This gently rolling rideProtected content covers approximately 30 kilometres start to finish. It will pass close to Canterbury (at kilometre 6), Campsie (km 8), Flemington (km 14), North Strathfield (km Protected content and Olympic Park Ferry (km 21.5) allowing you to pop-out at any time before. We will not be racing so this ride is suitable for everyone. At the end (Paramatta Ferry Wharf) you can take the ferry back to the city, enjoying some of Sydney's stunning water-views.
What to bring:
* Bicycle (e-bike or man-powered, your choice),
* Helmet (wearing one is mandatory in NSW),
* Bike lights or bright clothes for better visibility,
* Spare tube or repair kit (punctures tend to happen only when neither is around), and
* Plenty of water to keep hydrated
How to get there:
Train Protected content ride on T4 line from Central station, Platform 25, leaves every 10min
Cycle - for those that never get enough :)
If it's raining or very windy we will postpone the ride. Otherwise we leave 10:00 am sharp. We will be there 9:45 am.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Alina & JC
PS: Please note we are not professional guides and hold no liability. So you are responsible for a road-worthy bike and your own safety. We just enjoy cycling and showing others that it can be done in Sydney away from major traffic, meanwhile seeing some beautiful spots.
