Two lakes hike in Pizol, St Gallen

Let’s do a hike in Pizol on Saturday. I have chosen to do the 2- Lake tour. This is a nice alternative to the more famous 5- Lake tour in Pizol. The 2-Lake tour, is of moderate difficulty. It offers great views on the rhine valley up to the bodensee and the alpine roses a currently in bloom. It takes about 3 to 4 hours if you take it easy and include extended breaks. We will cover a distance of 6.3 KM and an altitude difference of Protected content . The walk starts at Protected content and ends at Protected content altitude. To get to the starting point we take the cable car in the valley station of Bad Ragaz. From the end-point we can take a lift back. They offer a special ticket for the cable car called „2-Seen-Wanderung“ for 21 Chf (with halbtax) which you can buy at the ticket office. We will meet at the ticket office for the cable car in Bad Ragaz (Loisstrasse) at 09.30 on Saturday. There is a large parking space which is very close to the high way. It takes about 1,5 hour from Zürich to get there by car. It should be possible to get there by public transport (SBB Station Bad Ragaz Pizolbahn)
The weather should be nice, nevertheless do bring a rain jacket. Sturdy walking boots are required and bring food and drinks. Maybe a bottle of white wine, to enjoy at the shores of the lake while basking in the sun.
