Exploring volcanic rocks: towers, tombs, statues, MONSTERS
Have you never heard the "Parco dei Mostri" in Bomarzo? And the Pasolini's tower? And the ancient etruscan pyramid?
Well, here it is a good opportunity to visit several interesting places where the fantasy and the genius of the ancient people contributed to transform volcanic rocks into monuments, artistic creations, churches and high towers.
We'll explore this fascinating area rich in history, archeology, art and... mistery.
In the morning we'll delight us in a trekking among high rock cliffs and rivers, to discover ancient necropolis and churches; in the afternoon we'll take part in a visit in one of the most important sites of Italian Renaissance, the "Sacro Bosco" in Bomarzo.
Bring your own food and water in your backpack, wear a waterproof windbreaker and trekking shoes. Members with unsuitable shoes and not in a good fitness cannot participate to the trekking (4 km and ca. Protected content of difference in level).
Don't forget a light and, of course, a camera!
Please note that it is forbidden to enter with dogs in the Sacro Bosco (it's a private area, this is a owner's rule).
The archeological and naturalistic guiding is free: you've to pay only the ticket in Parco dei Mostri-Sacro Bosco.
