Walking in a ghost village
Abandoned since Protected content , after a French assault, Monterano is a ghost city, rich in important buildings, churches and a castle. Etruscan village, it’s the main archeological site of a regional nature reserve. In its grooves are hidden vulcanic boiling springs, mines, tombs and a lot of wild animals.
We’ll reach the village after a short trekking and with a round trip we discover the enchanting nature of this area, among streams, rivers and woods Protected content total, up and down, is the difference in level; total length of the trekking is 7 km circa, difficulty: medium due an easy wade but on slippery rocks).
Bring as usual your own food and water and wear trekking shoes. We’ll wade a river, so bring a second pair of shoes and socks if eventually they would become wet (you could leave them in my car during the trekking).
Meeting point is in Protected content at 10.00 am.
In case of bad weather the event could be cancelled.
Please help the environment, our friends and avoid pollution: share seats in your car!!! Post here your availability of seats.
