Dear all members, this time a real astonishing docu-fim about:
Jacopo Robusti, called Tintoretto because he was the son of a dyer of fabrics, he studied and attended, in the case of Tiziano, in the shop.

An exciting new designed and written by the Strega prize Melania Mazzucco.

With the extraordinary participation of Peter Greenaway, the film celebrates the 500th anniversary of the birth of one of the giants of European painting of the sixteenth century, Jacopo Tintoretto. The artist was the only one, unlike Veronese and Titian, who was born and raised in Venice, who did not abandon even during the years of the plague that brought the city to its knees.
"Tintoretto a rebel in Venice" is an important film about the figure of a talented, irreverent and energetic artist who must still be a bit discovered and recognized. Tintoretto represents the real both in forms, in expressions and in colors. Dark, gray tones, perfect brushstrokes, which appear in motion even once fixed on the canvas; energetic veils that outline the episodes never represented in an ordinary way, but with a human and almost obsessive attention to the protagonists.

Accompanied by the exhibition Tintoretto Protected content Palazzo Ducale, the film retraces the iconic venues of Tintoretto's Venice, from the first workshop in Cannaregio to the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, still today defined as its Sistine Chapel, exploring even the biggest rivalries artists of the time, Tintoretto, Tiziano and Veronese.
