The Paradox of Creativity
Let’s get together and discuss: The Paradox of Creativity.
Coveted and frowned upon, creativity seems to be a tricky ability that many of us choose not to harness.
‘So people say - “You can’t add hip hop to jazz. That’s not the tradition.”
Jazz was not made by a spontaneous combustion. Jazz is a reflection of the time. The tradition of jazz is actually that it always changes.’ - Robert Glasper -musician
Is it that it’s always easier to be a critic than a creator, hence we couldn’t be bothered?
Maybe we are programmed to conform?
Or are we simply afraid of being creative?
I invite you to bring your own thoughts and questions on the paradox of creativity (and if I get creative, we might also play a game- I haven’t thought about it yet, so you’re more than welcome to suggest something).
We’ll meet at Protected content .
