Verdi's La Traviata - Italian opera and brunch before
Let’s go to the opera!
If you never been to one, La Traviata would be an excellent first time experience (as well as 10th, or 100th :) ). Plus we’ll have few regular opera goers who can tell more about the opera and what to look out for.
This is a 2-part event:
First we will meet for a brunch at Protected content at 12.15 pm. This place is a walking distance from the theater. Parking information can be found here: Protected content Please don’t be late!
Opera starts at 2pm. We will walk there after brunch. You can buy tickets here: Protected content Tickets are very affordable: price starts at $20.
About the opera:
What would you sacrifice for love?
The courtesan Violetta Valéry has everything money can buy: beauty, fame, and wealth. But Violetta is dying, and she knows it. When she finally has a chance at true love, she jumps at it, only to give it up in a final act of selflessness. Find out for yourself why Verdi’s La traviata is the most frequently performed opera in the world.
