Sunday Individual Run-the Long Jog Challenge
Needless to say: it’s hard to motivate oneself to run, especially during the Lockdown but let’s make the best of it - staying connected and motivating each other!
Following the IN- motto „No one stands alone!“ we invite you to participate in our first Sunday’s Long Jog.
Long jog is a slow long distance run. It’s a basis training for (half-/ultra) marathon.The benefits of the long distance training are countless: it increases the muscle power, trains the body to use fat for fuel, improves endurance, trains nutrition and hydration practice, brings you a good sleep and- very important in times of Corona- it makes you mentally tough, builds confidence and lifts your mood!
Let’s run our first Individual Long Jog!
How does it work?
You simply TAKE THE CHALLENGE and run INDIVIDUALLY on Sunday a distance between 10 km and 30 km in one piece. Remember: 1) Run at a slow pace (so slow that you can sing while running and have the feeling that you run too slow;)- that’s the right pace! Protected content counts is the time you run rather than the kilometers you do. The longer, the better Protected content yourself additionally by choosing a new route, not the one you usually run 4) Take enough liquids / snacks (energy bar, nuts) with you 5) Take pictures of you running/ your route and share them with us after the run on the IN- website.
