Led by the Brazilian violinist and composer Guilherme Pimenta, this project gathers influences from each of these four creative musicians to blend styles as Choro, Forró, Bolero with Traditional and Contemporary Jazz. With Daniel Ganc on acoustic guitar, Pablo Arruda on bass and Richie Struck on drums, the Guilherme Pimenta quartet brings to the stage a fusion that expands today’s musical universe. They released their first EP “Violino na Roda” in Protected content in Protected content touring and presenting their new CD “Catopê”. The audience will be pleased with Brazilian music that’s is at the same time good to listen and to dance to.

Guilherme Pimenta is part of a generation of violinists that have been bringing the instrument into Brazilian styles such as Choro, Samba and Forró. Born in Minas Gerais Brazil, this young violinist and composer, studied classical violin at prestigious music schools in Brazil and the United States. He has been on stage playing everything from Brazilian music to jazz and classical in countries such as Belgium, Brazil, the United States, and Switzerland. Guilherme Pimenta is now living in Rio de Janeiro, where he is fully dedicated to jazz and Brazilian music. He plays with the samba band called Papagaio Sabido, with whom he released an album in Protected content , and in his own projects as Guilherme Pimenta 4tet and Pimenta Jazz Trio.
